Professional Experience

Jan has been CEO, managing director, investment banker and strategy consultant for more than 20 years. He has been in charge of corporate strategy, principal and private equity investments for international banking groups and investment companies. In the course of his career, Jan worked for companies like Kleinwort Benson, BCG, DZ Bank, Brookfields and various start-up companies. Jan also took over troubled portfolio companies, successfully managing situations involving turn arounds and transformation. He feels comfortable in executive and team coaching, dealing with change, crises and conflicts. His coaching languages are English and German.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

After a nice sailing trip or a hike in the mountains, sitting with my wife in my favorite restaurant, drinking a glass of red wine, talking about this and that.

Which historical figure do you most admire?

Socrates, who died with dignity for his wisdom, which still gives us orientation today.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Driving an electric car with a realistic range of less than 100 miles and still being proud of it.

Stefan Zweig, Lion Feuchtwanger, Gore Vidal, Irvin Yalom.
